Pictures!

Well, I won the battle between me and my camera. We got our family computer back from the repair shop, so i was able to upload tons of pictures from my camera.

Yeah!!!!

(However, the war is not over, I still need a cord to upload to my laptop. I will not be defeated!)

The first pic is of the exchange I did on HoE. I stitched this for Lisa. She has received this so I know I can post this pic. I have never finished an ornament this way. I kinda' liked it.

(Side note to self: work on finishing of cording. It was heck!)

The second pic was what I finished and the goodies I sent to Kathy.
I love looking at her blog, especially when she blogs about her dog, Rory. Her dog is beautiful! He is a show dog. (One of the million and one hobbies(lifestyles) I would love to do.)

Now on to what I received!
The third pic is of this beautiful box I received from Michelle.
This is stitched over 40ct! (I can do 36 but only in really good light and a little at a time.)

More pics to come soon!

Tuesday Tidbits

Found out last night my 16yo daughter is going to U of San Diego this summer for a NJrROTC program. She will be in the classroom with other NJrROTC students across the country learning more math, science and engineering stuff. We are so proud of her! She was one of three selected to go from her school. All expense paid trip has made the decision a "yes" from us. Plus this will be her first plane ride. She is really happy. I love my daughter!

It's Monday

Monday is here and I am still not recovered from my trip to Birmingham. I am tired. However, the house still needs to be cleaned, the kids need to be fed and I have a ton of laundry do to. Yes, a whole ton.

You know how people always use that statement when they have laundry to do? Well, don't believe them. Unless they have 9 in their family, or more, than they have it light!

It has finally turned cold here. Cold here is 40-50 F. Yes, I am in sweatpants this morning. The kids were cold this morning, their toes were even colder. My backside always gets the coldest. Well, um...that might be too much info...
Anyway, have a great Monday!

ps I can't download pic until I find my camera cord, which I have not seen in about, well...I don't know how long. UGH! I will win this battle though..the battle between me and the camera. Wish me luck!

Day 2 in Birmingham

I have had a very long day! Dropped the kids off for band practice, I then headed to the Galleria mall. I miss shopping in a mall. We had an outlet close to where I live, they don't have everything. bought a couple of small Christmas presents. Drove around Birmingham to Historic Highland Park area. Found a wonderful little park and read a book for two hours! It was pure heaven! I took pictures of some neat things I saw on my drive. I will post those as soon as I get home. Tomorrow is another long day if not longer! I am driving home tomorrow!

Happy thanksgiving!

To all my friends and family..Happy thanksgiving!
Tomorrow I am hosting the Howell family Thanksgiving feast (my side of the family). (No I am not making everything. I think I would die if I had to, plus my DH would kill me if the stress didn't get to me first! lol)
We will be having 36 people in my house! Gasp!!!! My house is a little bigger than my our family member's homes. But remember there are 9 people that live here. We are already on top of each other.
However, i would not want it any other way. I love my family! I am so thankful for everyone of them.
Hope your day is wonderful and filled with much family and love !
Happy Thanksgiving!

My little big Daniel

My 3yo son Daniel had the hicups today. I told him was getting taller since he was hicupping. (He liked that.) So, tonight, I am putting him to bed with his first-grad brother James and Daniel says to me,"In the morning, I am going to go to school with James." I said, " When you get bigger you will go to school." he replied, Well, I had the hicups today and I am getting big just like you!"
My heart was in a puddle. I love my boys!

Happy Thanksgiving!

CS Designer I found

I found this designer on the online Show last month. Allessandra Adelaide has some beautiful designs! In the Nov/Dec Issue of Just Cross stitch she has one of her Christmas designs, "Christmas Ball". It is very pretty! I have some exchanges I am stitching right now, but come December 1 this will be my Christmas start! I love the simplicity of the swirls and big bow on top. Several of my favorites are the Christmas bell, Garden Heart and Champagne. Can't wait to start!

"All I want for Christmas..."

My DH just told me what he wanted for Christmas. " I want the movie 'Singing in the Rain' DVD Special edition. I also want to "dance like Gene Kelly, but that's not going to happen."
I had to write this down so i wouldn't forget it...My brain is really thinking overtime on this!
(BTW, this one of the few old movies he will watch with me! I love my DH!)
I would love to dance like this with DH! Or is that a little too TMI? haha

Hannah: "No Daddy there is nobody, just YOU!"
My DH just melted a little more!

What's up?

I know...You will just have to bear with me....I am not good at titles for my blog! :)

Well, right now I am functioning on just a few hours sleep. Our littlest one was sick for half the night. YUCK! I hate when the kids get sick. You just never know if you are going to get it or it gets passed on to the rest of the kids. When something like that happens, sometimes it is a whole month before the family feels better. Cross your fingers and pray that does not happen!

What have I been stitching....well, believe it or not I have pulled our Mira's Cinderella. I have the castle done, just working on the dress. I guess I wanted to work on one of my big ones for a while. I am also working on some gifts for Christmas. Can't talk about those though.

Um, kids are doing great! DH is doing great too! I have so much to be thankful for!

Happy Fall!

Another give away I found

Head on over to Green Fairy Quilts for another awesome give away! I love all their fabrics. Look at the holiday one particularly!

A new start

I thought I would try blogging on blogger...we will see how that goes!
The title of my blog "My Family Keeps Me in Stitches" is very true for my life. I have a large family. My husband and I have 7 children and yes, they are all ours! My Mother has always said to me, "You can either laugh or cry!" With 9 people in one house I have to choose to laugh. I love my family: my children and my husband. My faith is very strong and personal to me as well.
As far as stitches..well that goes to laughing and I love to cross stitch! It is my therapy. I tell my husband all the time it is either stitching or therapy! haha
This blog will have much about those three topics, family, faith and stitching.
So have fun reading my blog. I do enjoy reading yours!
